Foi lançada a versão 3.1 do OpenEJB. O OpenEJB é uma implementação leve da especificação EJB 3.0 que pode ser utilizada como servidor standalone ou ser embarcado no Tomcat, JUnit, TestNG, Eclipse, Maven, Ant e várias IDEs.

The Apache OpenEJB community has released OpenEJB 3.1 final. OpenEJB 3.1 adds some key new EJB 3.1 functionality such as Singleton Session beans. Other new features include Spring integration, EJB constructor injection, JSF dependency injection while in Tomcat as well as several innovations to the core embeddable EJB container feature set.
